To be fair, I don’t think this uniquely an “American” thing. I think it is a human trait. People who are comfortable are complacent “I have mine, so I don’t care about anything else”. Very few people will get out of their comfort zones to effect change.

It’s important to note that the agent who witnesses gray coat remove Alex’s weapon and begin to walk away IS THE SAME agent who walks around Alex (he moves to his own left) and proceeds to shoot Alex 2-3 times in the back. I cannot tell from the video if he fires the first shot, but he 1/2

I think, as an American, that this is exactly who we are and who we have always been. That we claim we want to be something different is neither here nor there if we can’t get off our backsides and make the necessary changes.

This has happened everywhere that ICE has been. In Charlotte, a local tow company would tow the cars back to the families free of charge.

Pink Coat Lady’s video clearly shows the gray coat man take the gun and begin to walk away. The agent next to him sees this AND THEN unholsters his weapon. So at least one agent knew the gun was removed BEFORE any shots were fired.

There is zero evidence to back up their claims. They keep showing a gun on a car seat. Why isn’t the gun on the scene? Why wasn’t it documented in situ? Why isn’t it bagged and tagged to preserve chain of custody?

While he is allowed to carry a gun, I have yet to see any evidence, video or otherwise, showing him “brandishing a weapon” at agents, as per DHS. It simply doesn’t exist. They know they executed a man due to piss poor training and no understanding of the law so they blame the victim. Rinse & repeat

No. Apparently, the man was filming and according to an eye witness trying to direct traffic around the ICE action across the street. ICE didn’t like it, told the man and the eye witness to back up, kept pushing them back and well, now he’s dead.
