Appendicitis is an abdominal emergency with a “classic” presentation of periumbilical pain that radiates to the RLQ, nausea, vomiting, anorexia. They can also develop a low grade fever, indigestion, and diarrhea.

Here is an EKG case that was sent to me several years ago.
60 year old with 4/10 substernal chest discomfort at rest. He was given 324 mg of ASA prior to arrival by a cardiologist.
Presentation: cool and clammy and anxious
Reports no medical history 👀.

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, or PRES (AKA Reversible Posterior Leukocephalopathy Syndrome) is a neurologic syndrome that is caused by vasogenic edema, mostly occurring in the posterior brain.

🧠 Symptoms:

2️⃣ Visual changes
3️⃣ Seizures
4️⃣ Confusion or coma

Lead III and aVL are best friends when it comes to their reciprocity. I like to see them as best friends because when there is an issue in one of them, I look to the other for reciprocal changes. One of the earliest signs of a subtle STEMI is hyperacute T waves.
