The IRGC and regular Iranian military have all the guns and thus the only power that matters. If an outside force doesn't intervene and if the military stays loyal to the regime then the only choice the protestors have is to surrender or be slaughtered.

I think it’s reasonable to expect the US to have some degree of law enforcement aimed towards immigration, but why are Democrats so attached to ICE particularly? You cannot salvage its reputation, it’s tainted beyond repair. It’s gotta go.

Unfortunately legitimacy these days has less to do with who has a popular mandate and more to do with who has the guns. Call me a sooner but I think these protests will eventually be stomped out unless the protesters fight back or someone fights on their behalf, with weapons instead of words

This attitude is totally unhelpful, NATO member states insistently broadcasting that they would never ever intervene helped this mess get started and has helped it keep going. If Biden et al had declared a no-fly zone in February 22 like Zensky requested things would have ended right then and there
