Obviously the fact that the show has lots of other sexist shit in it and that it isn’t made clear that it’s the women’s CHOICE to wear them both work against this. But idk, as like a middle school girl watching TOS it felt very utopian that no one was lecturing them about skirt length!

The miniskirt complaint always annoys me, because yeah it has a different connotation *now*, but they were literally banned in some cities for being obscene/corrupting. The idea that a woman could wear one in a professional setting and not get a dress code violation is cool, actually.
