Except you have to pay taxes with the money issued by that government. That is why it will always retain a 'value'. Can't pay taxes with crypto.

Yes and then the last sentence really nails it. They get outcompeted in China, where the market is 50% EVs, and consumers have a greater range of superior vehicles that cost much less. But sure, no one wants EVs 🙄
