Most of us did not choose to write or draw or design so that we could put products on the shelf. We chose to do it because it’s a set of skills we enjoy exercising, that give us fulfillment.

It’s like asking a pro pitcher to just let a machine pitch for them. Fuck off and give me the ball.

"We needed to give a warehouse robot a head so it could see."

Brother you can wirelessly connect every robot to a data network that has mountains of information on the world around them provided by omniscient external sensors mounted throughout the space.

This post wormed into my head and seems to be a common opinion among the artists I follow, so sorry about the random opinion posting.

Im open to change my mind, as maybe there is an aspect I am missing, so please feel free to correct me.

At least to me, it is very demoralizing. If we were at the same level of skill, then why are the outcomes different?

I would much rather hear people continue to say "just practice" then degrade themselves and other artist by saying that every single artist ever was "bullshitting" their skill.

Take pride in what you draw and the skill you have achieved with it.

I get that this is supposed to be inspirational, but by saying that "nobody can draw" you put everyone on the same level of skill, yet the outcomes can vary wildly.

Coincidentally, I was at Yodobashi Akiba on the 8th and snagged this photo, as it is in the back corner, completely surrounded by Playstation, with Nintendo having its own large section off to the side. Was laughing about it for the rest of the day haha
