We are a coral research lab led by Dr. Thomas DeCarlo. Our projects include examining growth patterns and compiling in situ temperature logger data to understand climate variability on reefs. For more, visit https://www.sclerochronologylab.com
This week, the Sclero Lab had its 1,000th core upload on the CoralCT application! The CoralCT app can be used to archive digital scans of coral cores and analyze their annual density growth bands. For more information, visit www.sclerochronologylab.com/coralct.html

Sclero Lab Update! 🪸
We've just uploaded the first version of the CRISP (Coral Reef In Situ Product) website! CRISP is an open-access data repository designed to centralize global in situ coral reef temperature data from and for the research community.

We recently had a very fun workshop for BATS (Boys at Tulane in STEM)! They learned about coral and how we can study their growth with core analysis. We played a fun trivia game and used VR (virtual reality) headsets to look at coral cores in 3D! Next up is GIST (Girls in STEM at Tulane) in March!
