The Science Policy Initiative at Notre Dame is a student-run organization founded in 2015. Follows, favorites, and RTs do not equal endorsement.
Join us for our first Science Policy Initiative meeting of this semester! We’ll have an introductory conversation about science policy and how it can connect to your research.
Then we will continue with free ice cream at Murphy’s!

Are you just as pissed off, disappointed, and worried for the future of science as I am after the recent NSF news? Well then let’s do something about it.
Yes! And as researchers, we can have direct communication with the broader public to clarify how the research ecosystem works.

The #McClintockLetters is one way to contribute to that!

Scientists are writing pieces for their hometown papers, published ~June 16th, to help build this awareness.

Fantastic opportunity to get engaged! Effective science communication supports effective science policy!
Federal research cuts impact local economies, and stall progress.

Publish an opinion piece in your hometown paper on June 16th to SPREAD THE WORD about how scientific research contributes to the everyday health and wealth of the general public.
