Spent most of the day hiking in the rain and I spotted nine rough-skinned newts (Taricha granulosa) with my partner, and plenty of banana slugs to get away from the chaotic timeline with everything going on, highly recommend! Herps always make everything feel better.

I’ve been hiking the past few days to find some stillness and in the midst of all the chaos and disarray going on in society and I’m reminded that humans much like animals have the capacity to be resilient and weather the storms that come. I’m always inspired by the adaptiveness of nature. 1/ 🌎

I just want to remind people that we had national conversations about the accountability of Black men voting for a conservative candidate and when I look at this image, I just want to know where the conversations were held in mutual accountability for other demographics because this is ridiculous.
