Of all the possible outcomes, there are two that a compare and contrast. Do you want to feel good by dressing down science deniers or... do you want them to listen to a conflicting point of view? Both are valid. But you can't do both.

Also, when confronted, your most important audience may be the other people in the room. They will be judging how you treat others. Remember a time you were in the audience and someone ask a deliberately antagonistic question. How did you feel? What outcome were you hoping for?
