Just an info to all phone companies and governments. Not a single user wanted 5G. 4G is perfectly adequate for anything i want to do with my phone. You're never going to make it economically viable to do anything wtih GB/s of data outside of my house anyway. Even my broadband is too expensive.

"Fallout" is closer than ever. Trump is talking about a third term already. Once civil war breaks out in the US, all those nuclear weapons in the hands of militia troops. Someone will press the button. Even if only the US is hit initially, China and Russia will step into the power vacuum created.

Truth is that even if AI becomes supremely good at translating natural language text into code, the real problem is that people do not know what they want.

I have said it for years. The US is not safe anymore for anyone. You can't trust the judicial system (what is left of it) and you can be detained for any reason.
Land of the free is a joke.

So, when all software engineers and all electronic engineers and artists and writers and thespians have been replaced by AI. Who is going to be able to buy a Tesla or an iPhone?
Who do you think you are helping?
So busy thinking about what you could do, forgetting to ask whether you should.

The world is about to go back to a feudal system, where rich landowners control all the assets and force the rest of us to work for them to provide them with what they want, when they want the way they want.

My hot take: Bloodborne is so boring. I have tried to get into it many times, but I just don't gel with the combat or the environment. It is only so long I can stand this brown slimy urban landscape.

There is no way to overestimate the impact of the US supreme court decision that the president basically is above the law. That there is no check on them, no balance. You have elected your first Emperor.

As someone who also gives away books as presents, i posit that giving a book to someone is not a very good gift. It is a big project, a great work, to finish a whole book. You better be sure the recipient will love it. My book graveyard is filled with gifted books I will never read.

What about toothpaste makes it the invisible ink of shirts? You wet it down and dry it off, there is no stain. Two minutes later it is back, no matter how many times you wet it down and dry it off.

In Sweden, people voted in these "tougher on crime" politicians. Now the prisons are overcrowded. I know that I would rather my tax payer money go to crime prevention, but apparently now it must all go to housing petty criminals instead.

Why are Americans putting their dogs in crates? I have never seen this practice anywhere else and it seems to have started recently. Also, crates should be called cages, because that's what they are. Small cages.

Merit based hiring is not the same as nepotism.

Step one of fascism takeover: take control of media.
Step two: establish internal and external threats to motivate reduced freedoms.
Step three: reduce freedoms and claim that you do these things to preserve freedom
Step four: Camps

What's with young people today and an unwillingness to blow their nose. Instead they continuously draw all the mucus into their sinuses. Desgusten!

Sweden needs to immediately introduce a platinum card that requires a $10.000.000 investment.

The funny thing about the US is that they believe they are not a socialist country when the US military itself is the biggest and most expensive publicly funded unemployment program in existence.

My toxic trait is that even though my #fish-shell autocompletes my pacman update command, I still type it all out because the mental effort of pausing, recognizing the command and pressing right to complete it is larger than just mindlessly let my fingers continue to do what they already know.

Today's science question: why does pulling out nose hairs make you cough?

The greatest lie the Devil ever told, was that some dude on YouTube or TikTok is better at reporting factual news than trained and seasoned professionals.

People who want more and longer prison sentences, are you then prepared to pay more taxes? Because unless you resort to slavery, like in the US, YOU have to pay for those extra prisoners.

Yes, banning books makes you the bad guy. Sorry about that, I do not make the rules.
February 18, 2025 at 6:35 AM
I have said this about the American far right for years. The doublethink is strong with those guys. "Fair and balanced"
I understand that Big Brother Musk is now going through Americans' tax returns. Remember that IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH and FREEDOM IS SLAVERY.

Elon Musk acts like a religious zealot. He is sure he is right about everything.

The mark of a sane person is that there is always room for doubt about everything.

Intelligence is not marked by knowing that you are right, but by knowing that you may be wrong. Always. Anything else is religion.
