some scientists troubleshoot with reddit, bluesky, and YouTube. others by remembering a cool paper from 1983 and summoning from a dusty paper pile in the corner of their office like a gd wizard. sometimes you can really tell the difference.

a scientist smiled liked they just discovered gravity. the experiment worked as expected on the first try. we don't celebrate the quiet joy of science going right quite enough. 🎉

just watched a young scientist spend 3 weeks optimizing a protocol to save 30s per experiment. we do this experiment once a month.
