I love that these are the celebrity shots from Game 1 of the 2005 World Series. I’m unreasonably proud of this. But they did get a shot of the Pope, and Obama threw out the first pitch at the next game.

Well, it’s official. The A’s have hosted the Yankees series and they did not sell out a single game. In fact, the Rivercats averaged higher attendance in their second season than any of this weekend’s Yankee’s games. Sad!

In addition to being morally abhorrent and cowardly, this was a horrid business decision. Some of the firms that caved pledged $125 million in feree legal services to Trump. Perkins Coie dealt with less than 2 months of uncertainty and a few million in attorney billing. What a bunch of rubes.

Oof. The Athletics are not coming anywhere near filling the 14,014 seats in Sutter Health Park. They’re averaging 10,047 after Opening Day, and the Cubs, Padres and Mets coming through Sacramento. Sure, Tampa is drawing one fewer person per game, but that’s their stadium’s capacity.
