Danish 'Ghetto policy' in UK? (2/2)

Was on GBN, as Tories leader consider 'controversial Danish ghetto policy'. Explained about the policy. Outlined what don't work:

The ghetto list - We don't solve social housing problems by demolition, discrimination and displacement.

4) A key part of this is the Fragmentation of the state, cities and social collectives. Counter intuitively these fragmentations do not mean less state as governing fragmented societies requires massive resources new institutions and forms legitimization. Something we need to research empirically.

3) - not toward a neoliberal doing away with the state (even when some harbor these wishes) - but toward a radical reorganization of the state to turn state power against those parts of the state which (re)produce and underpin public goods, care and solidarity. What we term #policy_schizophrenia.

2) We contest that this righttilting should be the result of the weaponization of language and the spread of fake news etc. (these are important factor but not driving dynamics). Rather we must comprehend the resent political developments as part of (long-term) struggles over the state

1) We used the opportunity to expand our and model of 'the state as nested fields' which can helps us generate empirical research on the ongoing right tilting of political space across major democracies around the globe from Denmark, Italy and Portugal to the US, Brazil and India.

1/2 Tror det er Hellmut Brunner, der i hans bog ‘Das hörende Herz: Kleine Schriften zur Religions- und Geistesgeschichte Ägyptens’ skriver noget i retning af at i de perioder i det gamle Ægypten hvor tilliden til det politiske system faldt og korruptionen
