Walk up to Bowscale Tarn today with friends and their mad Lab. OH and his mate went prepared and had a swim in trunks. Nutters! Think it was cold as he came out the colour of a cooked lobster. Warmed up with coffee and pal cooked bacon sarnies when we got back to the cars.

Found out the river that runs close to the cottage has some falls. We took a walk there today and saw salmon jumping! (River Carron)

We saw some of the collapsed dwellings further up and when you realise they‘re not just piles if stones and the number of them. The guide said this strath was 100 or so people.

Had a peak inside Croick Church today. It’s famous as where people cleared off the land graffitied the windows. Can see the remains of their homes up the strath 💔 (was designed by Thomas Telford)

We lost him in April. He was a week off turning 5. It was cancer. The girls are his relatives. Older one his Great Auntie who he adored. This was last October.

Oh bless him. I’ve just got in and she was like this -I called her when i came in and was able to put my stuff down and film her. Not a peep!
