Eg nyttar MØRK MODUS, skriv nynorsk og ferierer ofte i Nord-Noreg.

Fordi eg er betre enn deg.

We pray for the defeat of the enemy.

In a few years, you will have new political leadership. Maybe they will set a new course, maybe they won't. In any event - that's a gamble we are unable to afford.

The actions of your administration - especially the past week, is permanent damage to the US.

As you are even alienating you neighbors Canada and Mexico, you are increasingly isolating yourself. The shining city upon the hill, no longer appears very shiny.

America can always survive without partners. But in a globalised world you will never thrive on your own.

France is an option for nuclear protection.

You can dismiss us as small and important. But the US dominated world order - the Pax Americana - has always relied on a large number of smaller allies like us.

Now that you are pushing us away, we will still have Europe.

In the longer term - we will have to look elsewhere for security. Things will be more complicated without the US - we will have to rely on several medium sized powers rather than superpower. For some issues, we'll band together with the Nordics, for other issues, we'll have the EU.

This will have serious effects in both short and longer terms.

In the short term - we are now hesitant to purchase US military equipment. We regret F-35 and have thus chosen the UK and Germany as partners for our upcoming naval upgrades.

It's hard to overstate the gravity of the statements made by your administration. A threat to use military force against a junior security partner is not just a threat - it's a clear statement that you can no longer be trusted for security.

We need to rethink our whole situation.

We have done so because while great powers do what they will, small powers do what they must.

This is necessary for our security. Just as it is for our similarly sized Nordic and European neighbors.

Like Denmark - a country with which we have strong historical and cultural ties.

We accept that. We also accept that our role as junior partner means that sometimes we just have to accept the will of our senior. In terms of security policy - we have to a large extent taken a role a client state of the US.

Security is a long term issue. Our planners try to plan for whatever the world may look like 50 years into the future.

Being a large alliance like NATO isn't always easy. We realize that. There have been, and there will be, fundamental disagreements. 3/
January 7, 2026 at 10:28 AM
We've always realized that such reliance isn't free. Thus we have tried to share the shifting military burdens the US might have. We shared our intelligence infrastructure, we accomodated your forces, we joined most of your foreign military adventures - however ill-advised they were.

Greetings from your long time loyal ally Norway!
I'm sad to say that you are correct. The combination of having had USSR/Russia as a neighbor and the trauma of being occupied by nazis in WWII, taught us the need to rely on greater powers for security. 1/

Not just any sovereign nation - your staunchest ally.
This will be the end of NATO.
Good luck next time you need a "Coalition of the Willing"!
