Thank you to the Lansing voters for placing their faith in me for another term to focus on these priorities and work together with our partners, community members, and the city council to grow our City. Lansing’s time is now! And the best is yet to come.

My priorities for the next four years will continue to focus our resources on public safety and affordability, fixing our roads and older infrastructure, growing our housing stock for all residents, and to continue to make a Lansing that’s vibrant and filled with community.

My amazing team knocked over 81,000 doors and made thousands of phone calls, reaching residents where they were. We were able to talk about my accomplishments so far, how we are moving Lansing forward now, and my vision for the future.

During this campaign, we put together an incredible coalition of people. We received endorsements from political leaders, neighborhood leaders, labor unions, business leaders, working families, and incredible citizens throughout this city.

We are proud that they are doing work here in our city and our members of our community!

As we get into our final two weeks of the campaign, I am so humbled and honored to have the support of so many labor groups, job providers, and businesses that contribute to and help run our city.

Fixing Michigan Ave was a big step forward in bringing more vibrancy and walkability downtown. I love Lansing, and days like today make me especially proud to be your Mayor. Lansing’s time is now! #LoveLansing

I encourage you to go drive or take a stroll down Michigan Ave this weekend and try one of our great businesses on our campus to capitol corridor.

At the same time, we are doing this on the southside (Pleasant Grove) and on major roads throughout the city. And with the legislature, passing more money, will be able to double the funding for neighborhood roads. I look forward to fixing our roads and sidewalks as we grow our city for all!
