As we say in data protection, sometimes it's personal information from the context. In better times, Mr S attached the advocate label to our spare keys so our neighbour, who was our main cat sitter, would know they were ours. Label dosage indicates correctly that this cat, RIP, was a huge chonk.

#EggClub on tour! 🥚🍳 potato and pepper hash at The Hog and Bean, Deal. Fried eggs substituted for poached at my request. Lovely. In the Breakfasts, scrambled eggs are an upgrade from fried which confused me.

Anyone here in Kent and like music? I am singing in a lovely, free concert in Deal on Saturday 13th September at 6pm. In addition to the below, some spirituals by C20th African American composers and the wonderful Cecilia McDowall 'Sigh No More Ladies'.

Anyway, my pre-match nosh up for #EggClub 🥚🍳 from the Dialogue Cafe in Clapton. Beans were too sweet for me but otherwise every element nicely done. This place does excellent freshly-made Gözleme.

Belated post for #EggClub 🥚🍳 - Menemen at the Clapton Square brasserie (my fave, The Full English, was shut for the holidays). Drier texture in the eggs but very tasty.

Egg Club on tour 🥚🍳 ! In the very nice Papa's cafe in Worcester. Bubble and Squeak with chorizo and poached eggs. Very nice char on the bottom.

Finished Owen Hatherley's The Alienation Effect last night. Not sure I buy the overall proposition - my Hungarian heritage felt very foreign when I was growing up in 70s and 80s London. But it's so well-written, engaging and thorough researched I enjoyed the journey anyway. Enjoy the bitchy asides!

Finished Owen Hatherley's The Alienation Effect last night. Not sure I buy the overall proposition - my Hungarian heritage felt very foreign when I was growing up in 70s and 80s London. But it's so well-written, engaging and thorough researched I enjoyed the journey anyway. Enjoy the bitchy asides!

Everyone should read this wonderful book by @christinamartin.bsky.social - it's about life rather than death, beautifully-written, funny, touching without being sugary, and a really excellent picture of public service. Best thing I've read this year so far.

I went swimming here earlier today. This is about the only place you can swim safely in the Norfolk Broads. Trying to convince my companions that it's nicer being here in good weather. Not authentic apparently.
