Maybe we can get through this together.
What progressive policy did they pass? And what is still in effect today? What did they do to safeguard those policies passages?
March 18, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Really? Then how’d they keep the democrats from enacting progressive policy when they were in power so effectively?
March 18, 2025 at 12:47 PM
You blame them for voting for people who have a better strategy of garnering their vote while democrats moved away from the working man? You understand it’s the politicians whole purpose to win your vote with policy, yes?
March 18, 2025 at 12:46 PM
I’m sorry, do you not think pragerU is a lobbyist? Do you not think elected republicans are working with conservative media talking heads? Who are the “other people” who did? And what exactly did democrats attack? So they shouldn’t pass regulations because republicans own businesses? Jesus Christ.
March 18, 2025 at 12:45 PM
Because once again, we had a super majority 15 years ago and you’ve already made a defense about why we couldn’t even pass a public option then and why forced private health insurance is actually a good thing.
March 18, 2025 at 12:44 PM
Let me ask you something while you continue to offer excuses about democrats not having the majority in the house: what did the republicans do in the same situation that was different? Why are they magically so much more effectual in the minority?
March 18, 2025 at 12:43 PM
Why don’t YOU run? Or support someone locally you know to run.

You can vote for whoever you want to, but stop defending them like democrats have taken an active step toward progress in leadership. They’ve been worried about playing by the rules why the republicans are burning everything down.
March 18, 2025 at 12:41 PM
Who else would I blame for not combatting their strategy with literally nothing but resting on their laurels? It’s not like republicans have a good message. They’ve always lied about trickle down economics. It’s working now because we have no plan to combat it.
March 18, 2025 at 12:39 PM
Because they’ve done nothing to stop it! They’ve done zero introspection and nothing to plan against it or even pay attention to it? They did nothing about prager U or coordinated state attacks from Republicans, they did nothing to combat the media ecosphere the right created.
March 18, 2025 at 12:39 PM
We’ve done nothing collectively to build strategy for our policy which would be extremely popular if we knew how to run on it.
March 18, 2025 at 12:37 PM
And workers rights are SUPER popular. So is attacking the for profit healthcare system. Luigi would’ve been the PERFECT time to start the conversation about how to go after for profit insurance. We don’t have the media backbone that the right has spent years cultivating to indoctrinate teen boys.
March 18, 2025 at 12:37 PM
We don’t have less than half the vote. We have less than half the vote for the people who turn out to vote for two conservative groups. The democrats aren’t even a centrist party on the international stage. They’re petrified of running on progressive policies all the while labor unions
March 18, 2025 at 12:37 PM
You keep saying she got you progress. We’ve lost more of our established progressive policy the last 30 years than any gains we’ve made. And now they’re rolling back public education at the state and federal levels as part of a coordinated attack on the system we’ve had for a century
March 18, 2025 at 12:34 PM
And THERE it is. Because you don’t have any other option. But you do. Stop voting for people who don’t support the things you want. You’re compromising and moving farther right, just slower than you would voting for MAGA. We have to collectively stop moving
March 18, 2025 at 12:33 PM
We’re not getting ANYTHING we wanted. We’ve LOST more in the last 30 years regardless of who won. That’s why I don’t understand this constant defense of modern democrats. Watch the video.
March 18, 2025 at 12:31 PM
I’m not the one continuing to vote for the party who’s OK continuing to lose for the sake of continuing to do the same thing with disastrous results. YOU see OK with losing it. You can’t compromise with people who don’t see you as human. And I don’t know when democrats will learn that.
March 18, 2025 at 12:31 PM
And that expanded Medicaid wasn’t even universal. It was left up to the states, the majority of which are what? Because they couldn’t even keep from compromising on that. But once again, hope you get to keep it.
March 18, 2025 at 12:30 PM
Our policies don’t matter if we can’t find ways to win to enact them and we’re only concerned about performative horseshit and collecting a check.
March 18, 2025 at 12:29 PM
It’s definitely more than that. The corporate dems don’t care about policy, they care about appeasing their shareholders, eg lobbyists (Schumer and Pelosi). Why do you think we lost the working vote? And when there’s no collective strategy or direction, what difference does it make who it was?
March 18, 2025 at 12:28 PM
You can have diversity of thought but you also need decisive action and strategy and end goals to act on. Are you ok with everything we’ve lost and that is being rolled back since the 90s? Or are you ok losing it while maintaining the idea of not having a central strategy for progressive policy?
March 18, 2025 at 12:27 PM
I would love for that to be the case in the pie in the sky idealistic world that doesn’t currently exist. The problem with having a big tent and no leadership or direction is exactly what’s happened. We make no collective gains.
March 18, 2025 at 12:26 PM
Right, so how did you get healthcare from Obamacare if you are on Medicaid?
March 18, 2025 at 12:25 PM
No I think we should definitely continue to do what we’re doing all the way to our extinction so then it really doesn’t matter, let alone getting anything we actually want.
March 18, 2025 at 12:25 PM
Well I don’t know what district you’re in. And it doesn’t seem to matter on the larger scale. I’ve been voting for democrats for 30 years to see everything I grew up knowing as established liberal policy either be removed completely or continually rolled back. What progress have we made?
