(Turns out, you can just point to the second element by adding one to the index, which solved all my problems instantly. Needless to say I regret my choice of not being smart tonight.)

(Okay in my defense it's my first time going back to C after C++ in like two years and I forgot pointers were how you solve half your problems. I kept trying to remove the first element of a string array through dumb means for about half an hour.)

Even the basic "block this word from ever showing up" function doesn't really work as expected. It doesn't block plurals, which seems like it should at least be a default option, and it doesn't do anything to quote posts when it feels like it really should, for example.

Yeah Twitter took hours to do the same, too, but at least it actually works, and the difference in ads isn't that big a problem when you just use an ad blocker anyways. Granted Twitter still sucks for artists more because of everything else but I feel like Bluesky really needs better feed control.

I don't really talk about politics (at least, directly, and don't worry I'm not gonna start) but I do care in my personal life. That being said the Discover feed here is just not a good time unless that's all you want to see, and I've spent hours trying to fix that and still can't figure out how.
