Shame, anxiety, and anger are what I wake up to every day. My grandmother was an immigrant from Belgium. My parents voted for Trump. We aren’t speaking.

My son is in a school for medically fragile children and every child has an IEP. Our only option will be to homeschool because no private school will take my child. I can’t work because I need to tend to his needs. We are watching the world burn while billionaires laugh as they turn off the water.

My parents who voted for Maga are so happy about the border tsar and seem blind to everything else even though they have a daughter whose rights and healthcare have been stripped away along with a disabled grandchild whose Medicaid and future will be gutted.

I absolutely love Nova Scotia! One of the happiest times in my life was a girls trip there. It’s beautiful and the people are wonderful. I hope to go back someday.
