I've taken a picture at an angle looking bottom right to top left of a bit of the cloudy sky and pylons The current stage I'm up to with my pen on paper drawing of 'Pylons at Newburn', a landscape view looking south west from the north bank of the river Tyne. Photo from the dining room, out of the window, towards a dark, menacing sky. There are rain drops on the outside of the glass, which I spent at least 5 minutes trying to get my shitty phone camera to focus on, so at least have the decency to read this alt text and give us a like or something for crying out loud.

My work in progress, a black and white pen drawing of a view across the river Tyne at Newburn. 2 bare trees in the foreground, the opposite bank, the scene fading the into the south. Haven't drawn the pylons yet; they'll be the stars of the show, maybe even with colour when I get that far into the drawing.

My two triptych pen drawings, the top one shown here is called Near Haugh Lane, a view of the back of a big old retail unit in Northumberland, England, split into three A6 panels as a nod to those old devotional triptychs in early christian art. There's wheelie bins (or dumpsters, if you like), the loading bay for the unit, overgrown trees and shrubs, and a sad looking car park for the garage in the background. The one below it, also of some town architecture in the north of England. On the left panel of this one, the boarded up and disused 1930s bus station. In the middle, the Edwardian gates to Sele Park, a formerly grand entrance that everyone walks past these days. On the right, the eastern end of an old ropery building constructed in about 1800, also boarded up, rotting and largely ignored.
