Rewatched it for the first time in years, and was blown away by the tone shift around like ep 35. I would love to see a full remake of Soul Eater by Stuido Bones! Its such a good show that oozes style in every detail

idk, its not even just the AI TTS immersion gap. Its the lack of craft and care. Its removing the soul from the art so industries can race to the bottom to have the the best LLM implementation. feel like it'll just end up with big studios getting shuttered and writers, VAs and others losing jobs.

lol exactly my point! we get easy quotes for fans of games to relate and make memes. I guess AI NPCs can be cool in the like scientific pov? But for videogames I want voice acting, i want them to have a finite point, and i dont want this ever expansive, self-destructive search for true immersion.

Such a weird argument to want NPCs to talk forever. Without repeated cheesy lines we would never have mass appeal memes like "arrow to the knee". Its part of the fun getting to hear an NPC say the same schlocky line for the 500th time.
