Trying to make the web nicer. Compute at @vercel.com. A failed punk rocker.
I see it no different than “export const runtime = …” but tied to a function scope instead of a page or a module. That’s… more powerful.

Really no other syntax works for this.

But I’m happy to hear alternatives from the community

I find it utterly disturbing that people don’t think we knew the potential backlash of using directives. If there was a better solution we would’ve chosen it. Heck, if someone has a better idea lmk and I’ll push for it now.

We probably just didn’t explain it well enough upon releasing the library
November 1, 2025 at 7:42 PM
It is also a wildly different situation when talking about a library vs a framework. You dont want to compose these directives. You don’t want to minify or bundle. You want to be able to distribute source code with compiler pragmas attached to the scope! And it’s a valid & syntax in parsers!

אני זוכר שהערתי את אשתי ואמרתי ״נראה לי.. שיש אזעקה?״ וירדנו למטה ומאז הכל השתנה

Explain
October 3, 2025 at 5:07 AM
You have no idea what you’re talking about. It is maybe not immoral, but it is violent, yet it’s fine to say you’re fine with the consequences.
October 2, 2025 at 1:41 PM
I’d do the same but it’s still breaking and entering and should be coordinated with the police because they have the monopoly on violence

Now I’m not sure if you don’t understand this or choose not to

And in any case what about the hostages do you plan on freeing them too or they can go to hell?
October 2, 2025 at 1:35 PM
okay boss
October 2, 2025 at 1:26 PM
entering a war zone and a siege without approval nor using the passages. I believe you understand that and decide to ignore facts.
October 2, 2025 at 1:24 PM
I think the aid should be received. But what you’re saying is like saying “drinking water is not a violent action”, when the whole situation is “drinking water in someone else’s house” or in this case,
October 2, 2025 at 1:24 PM
Again, I believe the aid situation is fucked up. I think my government is shit. I believe we are under a crazy dictatorship these days. But there are two ways of confronting that: diplomatic and by force
October 2, 2025 at 1:21 PM
Something’s happening in a foreign land that is immoral to you—that doesn’t mean you can force your opinions there.

Heck, I think my government is wrong on so many things, so I protest. I can’t take a violent action.

A violent action has consequences. Denying that is preposterous
October 2, 2025 at 1:19 PM
That sounds good. I’ll try setting it up!
October 2, 2025 at 10:39 AM
Wait how can I use @teal.fm ? Could be nice to try over lastfm
October 2, 2025 at 10:35 AM
Seems like it’s always Israel that’s the problem even though the solution is rather simple—let our people go. Interesting YOU call it propaganda.
October 2, 2025 at 9:29 AM
Obvious ignoring my claims. If there was a genocide; okay

But even this disastrous thing we have right now can end once hostages are back. That’s not hard and I expect every western mind to push for peace and freedom for all.
October 2, 2025 at 9:27 AM
And I think starving people is disastrous—don’t put things in my mouth (or keeb)

^ Not to say that official aid passages were proven to be effective, but that doesn’t give you the right to create a new passage. It does mean that diplomacy or force is needed, and if chosen force, then arrest makes sense
October 2, 2025 at 9:22 AM
“Israel: your own defense don’t matter. We decide what happens on your land. Your citizens don’t matter at all and you should not be able to protect your citizens” isn’t either

See how you don’t even consider that releasing the hostages first should be on the table. Hamas is above all laws.

Explain

If this is not through official aid passages how is this fine?
October 2, 2025 at 9:11 AM
Why isn’t releasing the hostages the first step? Why aren’t you pushing that? It’ll all end immediately. I’m not okay with starving. But I’m not okay with just allowing our people to be taken hostage and us just pray? What does it mean to protect our people if not doing everything to get them back?
October 2, 2025 at 9:03 AM
Once they’re back, there’s zero chance of Israeli citizens to support any form of war. Just like we think annexing Gaza or whatever radical right wing borderline terrorist part of the government wants, will never get any support
October 2, 2025 at 9:01 AM
Even before the disastrous situation we are in right now, hostages that were released said they were living off a Pita a day, while the families that held them hostage were eating normally
October 2, 2025 at 9:01 AM
I believe the count is 4000 kcal per day? I don’t justify and I think it is horrendous. The moment the hostages are back the siege should end immediately. There’s no legitimacy for that. But we have our people there and they die from hunger.
October 2, 2025 at 9:01 AM
Imagine thinking my hands are full of blood when in Israel I’m probably considered far left wing with whatever related to geopolitics lmao
