I honestly feel like every new housing development in Glasgow is a massive failure. Like, this is a tonne of vacant land on the site of a former hospital with a train station very nearby, and we just get low density suburban style housing It's so shit and such a massive waste of land

Fascinating article from the Times here, I didn't expect the divide in attitudes between Scotland and England to be this large, but overall people in Scotland are apparently just far less angry about politics than English people are

The other thing not shown here is the UK has the smallest average home size in Europe, and it's getting smaller year on year, to the point where new build estates are using show furniture 2/3rd the size of typical furniture to make their show homes look bigger
