At The Citadel 1967, my plebe year, the Corps was dismissed at noon formation the very day before, but car trouble held us up. So we went into town, watched Cool Hand Luke while repairs were being done, left town around 5 and got home in Fla at midnight. Greatest Thanksgiving ever (once I was home).
