Shower Thoughts Epiphany
Cringing at memories of an emotional outpour, I realized the cringe was a defense mechanism against…well, feeling or expressing anything.
Being embarrassed of previous actions is normal
(shout out to my teen years!😱🤦♀️🤡)
but maybe expressing yourself shouldn’t be one.

I wish gender spectrum was taught in school.
Young people shouldn’t have to go through feeling out-of-place in freefall, only to learn who they are upon hitting rock bottom.

The hardest thing for me is to remember how creative writing is meant to be fun.
If I’m not having fun writing it, no one’s gonna have fun reading it.

I think the hardest part about creative writing is limiting your scope. It’s too easy trying to cram everything you want to do!
Ex: Had a story outline using our solar system. Each planet had a dimensional, magical hub in an urban/epic fantasy.
That setting was WAY too big for the story itself.

Finished “Wind and Truth” of the Stormlight Archive last week.
I feel it’s about the middle of my favorites among the Stormlight series.
Also REALLY love how it’s connecting the Cosmere! Can’t wait to see Book 6 from BrandoSando in about 10 years lol
