“They took my shoes and pulled out my shoelaces.

'You are being detained.’

'I don’t understand. What does that mean? For how long?’

'I don’t know.’”

I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped
I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

Good news from Colorado: A U.S. District Judge ordered a school district to restore library books they banned by next week, prohibiting the district from further restrictions on access to books that the school board objects to politically.

Federal judge orders Colorado district to return banned books to school libraries
The order prohibits the school board from removing books “because the district disagrees with the views expressed therein or merely to further their preferred political or religious orthodoxy.”

Our AASA Affinity Group created a gorgeous display for Lunar New Year this month. I love these displays bc they create such a buzz on our campus. Adding student voice into the Library is rewarding to see it in action. #Skybrarians #TLSky #Edusky #bettertogether #schoollibrary #schoollibrarian

The most important thing I’ve learned about communicating in an age of lots of lies is that pre-bunking is basically the only thing that works. Give people ammunition against misinformation, but do not tell them that you’re doing that.
