Oh, absolutely! Marketing and the like have a good bit of psychology to it, and largely in the spirit of manipulation. Although, I've had some fun with it. More than once, I've spoken near my phone that I wanted a particular workout, and moments later, YouTube had a bunch of good recommendations. 😂

Unfortunately, it's not a coincidence. Companies share data and use common denominators (i.e., multiple devices on the same network, in your case) to predict a relevant ad. Microphones even capture keywords for this. Privacy policies are loose and exist to protect the companies, not us.
