Worth noting that, despite never seeing his actual face, it's implied he has one. In the MMX manga, there's a scene that hints that he tried drinking Bourbon (and mud?), suggesting he at least has a mouth. This scene is referenced in official merchandise.

IDK if he's my favorite masked character, but Vile from MMX is one of my favorite faceless characters. In a series that often highlights how humanlike robots can be, Vile stands out with his expressionless T shaped visor, that seems to hide nothing except a pair of vicious red eyes.

The Fierce Deity from MM is inspired by the actual wrathful, or fierce, deities from Buddhism, that destroy obstacles in the path to enlightment and wage war against demons. They're often interpreted as the violent forms of otherwise peaceful enlightened beings.
