Once, Ein lost Welt Joyce, and now she may lose her adoptive daughter if Coralie is truly dead. But we know too little about their relationship to empathize with Ein here, even though it is supposed to be tragic for her. It's a drama for the sake of drama itself here.

The former happens all the time in HoYo stories lately, and it feels cringey; the latter is just... bad?
