Definitely not the same show. Robert Cray did not perform at any of the JFK Jams as they called it! 6 bands give or take . Started @11:00 am roughly ended close to Midnight!

Oh no definitely, I love Philly, it's just as 19-20 year old at the time if he didn't diss New York I would have paid it no mind. Been to Philly a few times when I lived in NYC never had a bad experience and loved the food

I found the comment, I don't recall any dissing of Philly, but hey I hardly remember what I did yesterday let alone 1983-84 ! Besides I lived in New York and drove down to the show with a buddy and wouldn't have really cared if they dissed Philly 😂

I'm not seeing the reference, but it was the JFK jam that had a few other bands. I went to two of them back in the day, separate years, so I mix up who the other artists were John Mellencamp (Cougar at the time) The Tubes, The Kinks . Foreigner, Journey

Great tune but I liked Heart and Soul better. As well as The Heart of Rock n Roll! They were a great band ! Saw them live in Philly
