Insurance Agent by day, incredibly awkward at night (and all times of day). He/Him
For easy math, say you have $100, that $100 has a 10% decline, so you now have $90 (10% of 100 = $10, $100-$10=$90). Now you have a 10% increase on the new $90, you would have $99. (10% of $90 is $9, $9+$90=$99). So, you would still be down lower than where you were before.

I’m assuming there will be a seance on the house floor?

Overall, I’m not optimistic about what insurance rates will look like for insurance in 2025 and 2026, but if you see your renewal increase yet again, there’s a good chance the Trump Tariffs played a role in influencing that.

That’s why since 2021 we’ve seen auto insurance increase by about 54.9% and home insurance increasing an average of 20% each year since 2021 according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Of course we saw an increase in auto accidents compared to 2020, but we also saw an increase in costs associated with vehicle and home repairs due to supply chain issues. Insurance companies reacted fast and filed for significant rate increases to account for the new economic climate.

So what happens when the amount of claims stays the same, but the claims cost more? Insurance rates increase and we’ve seen this in the recent past. Let’s rewind back to 2021 where people were returning back to the office (at least in Texas where I live)

This would make the average dollar per claim pay out increase since, as you probably are aware, the costs of tariffs are placed on the consumer.

The proposed tariffs would actually contradict that statement since lumber imported from Canada for building materials for homes and auto parts imported from Mexico and China would all have tariffs placed on them.

On September 17th, Donal Trump declared on Twitter/X “Your automobile insurance is up 73% - vote for Trump and I’ll cut that number in half” without presenting a clear plan on what that would look like

Okay, there are only 9 generations and it should be number 1.

Hello, I’m requesting that you change your subjective opinion to fit my needs. Gen 5 supremacy or nothing.
