it takes me maybe 45 mins to make 4 cups of granola, including 30 mins baking time. it smells and tastes way better than the store bought stuff, which is anemic in comparison. if you have measuring tools, a mixing bowl, a baking sheet, a big spoon, and an oven, you too can make your own.
the bottom half of a large mason jar filled to the 4 cup line with homemade granola. you can see almond slivers, bits of dried apricot, and pieces of rolled oats. everything is a lovely toasty golden brown. here we see a round blue bowl filled with slices of banana and a small piece of strawberry, topped with lovely golden brown granola.

we improved SO MUCH this year over last year!
2023 snowmen sugar cookies: they look like they are melting. 2024 snowmen sugar cookies: significantly neater. 2023 christmas tree sugar cookies: a lil sloppy, no decorations, the corners are burnt. 2024 christmas tree sugar cookies are all dressed up and ready to party.

I won Deathmatch Island but I never officially got to hold the leader beans (except for this picture). Fly under the radar! That's my advice to you.

tomato kimchi and soy marinated eggs (recipes by aaronandclaire on youtube). gonna eat this over rice for lunch next week.
an airtight container filled with tomatoes, cut into wedges and stuffed with chives & carrot slivers, spiced with a red paste. six cooked & peeled eggs sit in a bath of sauce. there are red and green chilis, green onions, garlic, and sesame seeds floating in the marinade.

my partner made a beautiful strawberry cake from scratch for my birthday.

going to brunch in 3 hours and strategizing over the menu. challenge mode: i do not like meat or pancakes. there is a side caesar available. makes me think of the dream-come-true breakfast that makima offers denji when she recruits him.

i made a yellow cake from scratch for my partner's birthday! happy birthday!!

took a walk in the rain today. my neighbors have clearly been maintaining a 5-star island for many weeks.

i made a pumpkin pie.
a small round dark blue plate with a triangular slice of pumpkin pie on it. there is whipped cream on the slice. it looks pretty good. a whole round pumpkin pie. the crust is wiggly in a pleasant way. marie callendar made the crust (frozen) but i made the filling and it is pretty good. a little wet in the middle but not bad.
