“One day…Someone will explain…” OK. So, Germany and Japan are progressive liberal democracies, and Russia is a war-mongering, illiberal dictatorship. Gosh, that was hard.

Beautiful but amazed the Aussies didn’t collapse it and take the punishment… Coaches must have been livid

Don’t listen to old people like me. You’re golden. Oh, but buy good sunscreen.

This is a very normal “anti-recency” bias response.

How many tours previously have three of the four Lions nations outranked the host in world rankings? Without wasting too much time, I’m going to guess “never” 🤷‍♂️
May 10, 2025 at 11:30 AM
There seems to be very little disagreement on those who weren’t selected, so presumably you just think this is a currently very poor vintage of Ire/Eng/Sco/Wal teams. To which I can only agree in one instance 🤷‍♂️ (fwiw I think Lions will win both opening tests and 2-1 overall)

Might want to check your Boolean logic there (unless you DO think she DIDN’T wipe the floor with him, of course?) 🤷‍♂️

No. Only for four years.

Noze?

True, but “Most of the time”… I can’t think of one occasion where he’s genuinely knowingly played a master stroke. Everything is “bragadocious” chancing

The younger brother is a bit of a tearaway, but prefers racquet sports I believe. Bad Minto.

10/10 Classic Dunt. No notes.

Unpopular opinion today… All filibustering is wrong as a means, whether you approve of the end or not. 🤷‍♂️
April 2, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Honestly, I don’t mind if refs unconsciously hold the dominant team to a slightly higher standard, (when the result is never going to be in doubt).

I’d like to think I’d manage that with most sports stars… unless I’d met Muhammad Ali.
March 23, 2025 at 2:44 PM
Yes… but for children’s books, don’t read the celebrity ones. They’re all doing precisely that, writing Dahl pastiches and getting published anyway.

And anyway, my point is that it’s Farrell’s call. And I think he definitely is a pragmatist first and foremost
March 17, 2025 at 5:32 PM
Because whether you like it or not, pragmatism wins big games. That’s why Russell can call himself the Messi of Rugby all he likes, whilst his trophy cabinet stays empty 🤷‍♂️
