Marshmallows from scratch are both very simple and a pain in the ass. Mostly a pain because I dont have a stand mixer and the mixture gets very thick. Delicious tho

Beer! Homebrewing went well. The rest needs to carbonate in their bottles but I poured some to try. It's very hazy but quite pleasant. A very simple and straightforward wheat beer and very drinkable.

We do a little homebrewing. Inside the very unexciting bucket is 5 gallons of soon to be German wheat beer. It's a very simple recipe to start with and I'm excited to see how it turns out.

I've been doing a lot of cooking lately. Today is quest fresco, or paneer, or ricotta, or cottage cheese. Turns out that heat milk + acid/rennet + strain developed in just about every culture.

Nice loaf of bread. It pancaked a bit but still tastes great. Need to work on shaping the dough so that it retains it's structure during proofing.

Depression era cake featuring no eggs, milk, or butter. It's remarkably good all things considered and pretty close to a box cake mix. The flavor is a little one note as only sugar and chocolate, but it's only a small knock against it.

Cooked myself a feast with this chicken ballotine. Made a pan suace gravy and then had it with sweet potato, cranberry sauce, and a big ole slice of bread. There's even pie waiting for me to be hungry again.
