I think the length of a game should be determined by the narrative; as long as that's good then end it when it makes sense! There are two many games where the story is done at 20 hours and then there's 50 hours of bloat -_-

When I was a kid I went to a family gathering and ate over a dozen deviled eggs and then hid under the table during actual dinner because I didn't want to get in trouble. Afterward my great aunt said she was just glad someone liked them :P Been hooked ever since!!
