but also friends/family picking out the exact item(s) and saying okay buy me this for Christmas is just not the spirit of things

now giving me a list of options and I get to pick from that is sort of okay. this goes for me too. I never pick out exactly what I want for Christmas unless it’s family buying me clothes then obvi yes I pick. But like I had to make an Amazon list this year and I hated the specificity of it :/
