After much heartfelt tragic singing, Love takes pity on the couple and decides that they’ve suffered enough and restores them back to life and the whole town is rejoicing (instead of burning them as witches as would probably happen) 😂 It’s lame!

Orfeo ed Euridice. The contratenor was astonishingly good ! I enjoyed the performances and the staging, some parts were deliciously creepy, but tbh parts of the music were … a bit trite and there was a happy Hollywood ending 😂 But that’s 18thc opera lol
