My first post on bsky is gonna be my piece for the Hieron zine! Had a lot of fun with this one last year and all the other art/writing is so pretty! They have extra copies up of the zine in their shop now if anyone missed them the first time too: ko-fi.com/hieronzine/s...

A journal of Fero’s creatures in Hieron. Says Field Notes on Fauna Local to the Last University. A. Winged Wolf- says fairly straightforward- not certain this didn't exist before. B. Sprangaroo shows a mix of a kangaroo and a plane. Shows it walking, then shows it launching. Says tucks its ungainly limbs into a pouch for terrestrial travel and uses powerful limbs to kick itself directly up into the sky. C. Bear's head cat- seem to disappear during dry season. A pic of bear's head mushroom says a sample to bring to the archives. A pic of a bear's head mushroom cat says unsure as to classification as to flora or fauna. A pic of it at night says in the evening one may see them glow. A pic of the mushroom cooking says harvest the extremities and sautee with butter- for best results harvest early in the wet season when coloration is bright white. D. Fulltaur- Wholetaur? perhaps a regionalism? A pic of three horses and riders with skeleton. Says these roam in herds- they will greet you and converse about the weather, however they will not hold a more in-depth conversation than that and odd skeletal structure- no organs are kept inside the faux person. E. Frogneron says never saw these guys again but they seemed real dejected. Bipedal frogs all looking depressed. A raisin on the page says seemed to be cultivating grapes. F. Terrabrach shows a crab with tentacles, its eyes sticking up from sand. Says appendages for burrowing and waiting buried for prey? G. Sea Squirrel shows a flying squirrel swimming, its face, its paw. Says glides through the water, steering with its tail and textured paws to grip slippery rocks. A corn kernel on the page says lives off tide corn. H. Trirele- not sure what this could possibly be eating to sustain itself. A blue whale with twelve legs and a lizard tail. I. Giant Vole- a giant vole burrowing, a close up of its teeth, and an orc next to the giant vole. Says bite may be venomous? and larger than your average orc.
