There's nothing wrong with wanting to escape the insanity so it's not poisoning you 24 hours a day. Everyone deserves to enjoy a hobby, whether it's sports or food or comic books or stamp collecting. We can be horrified, but we're also powerless to stop this.

Believe it or not, people can focus in more than one thing at a time.

Probably the most well fleshed out alternative reality Marvel ever had. A really fascinating trilogy.

Brian, I just want to say that these lists you've run over the years have been great sources of inspiration for my reading experiences. A long time ago, when I was much younger, the Greatest Stories Ever Told Months with a different theme each day exposed me to a lot of great tales. So thanks!

PHENOMENAL stuff, a book that really fought to present its own uncompromising vision of the future. And in 2025 it seems very eerily prescient.

Huge fan of the entire run. It gets pretty wild in Paradise X, but I loved the streamlined Marvel U. A great alternate retelling of Marvel history.

The fact that it gave us Starman was worth thr price of admission.

I recently came by a volume of Marvel Age. Do you think that the nature of comics now leaves no place for its type these days? I always appreciated the digest nature.

Well, maybe it's time someone commemorated the greatest hero of the Golden Age - the Red Bee!

Winningest is extremely common in sports terminology and has been for, like, 60 years. So go after someone who died in the Nixon administration, if it makes you happy.

I can empathize with this pain; I lost a grandmother in virtually the same way.

We honestly need more one-and-done stories like this. DC should get on a no holds barred Flash v Flash race.

This story has been etched in mind as the prehistory to one of the greatest runs ever.

Hey, this is germane to nothing in this thread, but I was curious if you had a collection of your great threads from the other place here on Bluesky or an archive elsewhere.
