Amazon leaders spend a lot of time writing. Writing a newsletter was a natural extension of my time there.

A few results:

* Managers were forced to care about their team members, or they'd leave.
* Employees weren't stuck with the team / manager they were "assigned" to at hire.
* Overall, Amazon retention increased because quitting was no longer the only option to leave a toxic situation.
