And this one. "Friends?" They were clearly friends (not to mention he calls Vox "pal" then, and "my friend" in the season finale). It almost feels like he has some trauma surrounding friendship that he's taking out on Vox here. (Or maybe I'm thinking too hard about it!)

THANK YOU so much for this thread! It's fascinating! If you don't mind me asking, what was the thought process behind the expressions in Alastor's rejection? Especially when he was hiding his face. I thought he might be a little sad/upset, but I could be reading more into it than is there.
