I feel like a child with my PS2/GameCube the way I'm playing this game practically blind and discovering all these bits myself on launch day because I haven't been totally spoilt by marketing and creators making shorts of all the best parts before launch. D-Cell really nailed the launch.

I haven't heard anything negative about their quality and creators I think have reasonable taste keep using them, so the signal seems good there.

On a technical level, I could point at all the bugs, crashes, and general jank I have found in story mode. But I just don't care because as a work of art, UNBEATABLE makes me feel something. It says a lot when my wife says she has never seen me having this much fun with a single-player game before.

Learning that UNBEATABLE had people really into Bemani and arcade rhythm games working on it suddenly makes a lot of things about how I feel playing it make sense. It reignites that joy I had playing IIDX (tricoro) for the first time back before the UK scene made me jaded about rhythm games.

Shop Pay's removal I can see just being a straightforward business decision, because last I checked it's more expensive than you could negotiate elsewhere for benefits that probably don't make sense for Hololive's business.
