I think your mistake is using the pan LOL. I saw this (either the most authentic or laziest) way to warm your tortillas: he laid it right down on metal above the gas burner for a few seconds then flipped it with his fingers and then, done! And if I can do that without burning my fingers, anyone can!

They prbly don't feel the need to prove it, bc their side is prbly doing it and so they believe it's normal. If u paid $20 a head to get 5 people to show up to ur bday party, and see somebody with 12 friends at theirs; Tell urself they couldn't possibly *have* 12 friends, so must have spent $240!

Or they cling to the idea that they are making the world safer by protecting you, rather than cherish the idea that this is the kind of world where one can be as pretty as you are, smart enough to know when they're in a safe enough space, and are free to choose to get home safely, on their own...
