Wanderer was in his own head as he looked at the stars now emerging in the fake sky. He only knew of one thing he could possibly give him for his birthday, although this wasn’t something to give lightly.

To The Wanderer’s surprise, he didn’t even mention his birthday. He just kept talking as he usually did. After a while, they lapsed into a peaceful silence.

One of these days, it happened to be Sethos’ birthday. The reason Wanderer had found this out was because he overheard all the birthday wishes. It was much too late to buy him a gift, not that he would’ve anyways, let alone know what to get him.

Sometimes, if he hadn’t seen Sethos all day, he’d find himself seeking him out or following him in secret to make sure he was alright.

He didn’t want to admit it, but he had come to enjoy his presence. He didn’t dread seeing him climb such lengths to see him, didn’t mind him stealing his hat, even let him talk as much as he wished.

After a while, The Wanderer gave up, letting him follow him around, and even sometimes accompanying him to festivals and such.

At first, The Wanderer tried to scare him off, not respond to him, being rude to him, whatever he could. However, the man was persistent, and he couldn’t shake the man’s curiosity.

The man had eagerly introduced himself to The Wanderer as Sethos and had repeatedly bugged him for his. He would simply laugh it off when he was met with silence and continue like nothing had happened.

However, despite his best efforts, there was one person he just couldn’t shake. He would even go through lengths such as climbing up to the roofs of the Akademiya to join him in the evenings.

The Wanderer was generally pretty withdrawn, not working on group projects, or hiding from his fellow students on the highest rooftops of the Akademiya.

After everything he had now been through he held his name close to his chest, letting the people of Sumeru refer to him as Hat Guy, or if they really didn’t know him, The Wanderer was fine with him. The only people he had let know his name in this new existence were the traveler and Nahida.
