At the Music Room at Liverpool Phil to see the RAH Band (yes they of The Crunch and Clouds Across The Moon). We could have been in for one hell of a fusion gig had they knocked down the wall and done a set with Adam Ant, who was playing next door. Well done to Daniel Hewson and co for this though

Cooking couscous aux sept legumes (with seasonal pumpkin) ahead of Halloween. It's more like huit ou neuf legumes with the parsnip and squash thrown in. The meat and actual grain I will cook tomorrow.

Made the Christmas cake today. Apologies if you only follow me for highbrow earnest insightful stuff (none of which I can manage), the truth is that a lot of my life is about being a 51-year-old domestic fiend and it's all a bit Enid Blyton or Milly-Molly-Mandy sometimes
