People still don't think trade is important, even after the Brexit debacle?

Trade can help fix a whole lot of those other issues.

It's weird, you can't tell what the temperature is outside, it's 2 Deg now but it could be 12 Deg.

With on/off heating you get up in the morning and the house feels warm or cold depending on outside temperature.

We still have a 2 tog summer duvet on the bed 😂

My first cold spell with a heat pump and I can honestly say the hype isn't BS.

House is always warm, even when I have to pee at 4AM.

Solar panels were providing 100% of electricity for heating at 10AM this morning.

The biggest issue with any new builds with heat pumps is user education.

If people choose to retrofit, they probably understand how to use it well.

But if people move in and one is just there and there is no handover telling them not to switch it off; potential disaster.

It makes sense, heat pumps run almost 24hrs a day in cold weather spreading energy demand over the whole day rather than following the duck curve. In fact they might run harder overnight when it's colder, thereby flattening the curve.

Always the victims.

Always.

The speculation on this budget is insane, largely driven by hostile media.

If even half of the fear mongering comes to pass, it will be a surprise.

Throw the exhaust through a heat pump and you could make that system efficient.

This is why I'm pleased to have a heat pump and an induction hob in my house now.

Combustion releases all kinds of toxic byproducts.

No thanks.

Yesterday was very overcast and dingy, we had lights on in the middle of the day!

So yeah, solar hardly produced anything. But many times, cloud isn't a problem.

"Cloud" isn't a description of how much solar energy falls on the Earth's surface.

Touch the back of your fridge, warm.

Touch the inside of your fridge, cold.

Heat got pumped from inside to outside.

Reverse that heat flow for your whole house; heat gets pumped from outside to inside.

This is why cryptocurrency is so good (if done properly).

There is no king, and there is no magic sword to wield it, no secret knowledge or right of birth.

There is an algorithm that allows anyone and everyone to create new currency, but only within unbreakable rules.

4 PMs for the price of 1 under a Tory government, now that's what I call good value!

Show me where Labour have a policy to remove the UK Human Rights Act.

I'm no fan of Labour, I'm not a Labour voter, but Farage is much worse.
November 12, 2025 at 7:34 AM
Farage wants to remove our human right to ALL privacy including those of children, that IS the same topic.

While I don't agree with the OSA due to it's privacy issues, Farage's policy will allow any government to remove all privacy from all of us, much worse.
November 12, 2025 at 7:32 AM
“We have to leave the ECHR, no ifs, no buts ... We have to repeal the Human Rights Act.” Nigel Farage.

What is hard to understand about that?
November 12, 2025 at 7:18 AM
Farage wants to remove theyour kids right to a private life, by removing the UK Human Rights Act and it's reference to the ECHR.

That's much worse.
