The development process was a lot of fun! It took a bit longer than I wanted it to, given everything that's happening right now, but it's finally done!

There's a couple set pieces to remake, but I'm going to try and get this show on the road sooner rather than later!
Development 1: He started off as a smartly dressed jackalope! But I then thought that he could used some more interesting features, and went back to the concept board. I came up with a more standard shape for my jackalope design, making it more anatomically in line with a rabbit. However, I realized that while it was clean, it wasn't too interesting. So, I really branched out, and played around to see what struck me as the most fun! I had settled on a few designed with features that I liked, and started to mix them up a bit. The third character shape seemed to really pop out, and was so fun to look at, and a few friends also said it was the most interesting design out of the four. So I went with this one! I started to do a bit of story exploration with him, picturing him being wild and cautious about humans, but after making a few discoveries and mimicking their behavior he falls in love with their world. From here I refined him a bit further in terms of design and story, but the general feel of him was established! His white line work and pitch black fur were inspired by the demon Ozzi from the webcomic "I Think I Like You" by Heru & Syd. I really liked the concept-art stage of using pitch black shapes, so when I saw Ozzi it struck me that I could use his color scheme to try and keep using black. As challenging as it would be to work with, I knew it would be fun to work within the limitations of what you can and can't do with this kind of color pallet, and how this character would have to interact with the world.

Cryptid PNG-tuber design: complete!

But behind his glasses are eyes that almost appear snake-like. He's got four large sharp teeth showing depending on the side he's facing. He normally wears a grey sweater and blue shorts. There is a small grey raven with blue eyes towards the bottom of the character sheet. Mysterious!

Following the news from waking to sleeping this week, I recognize in myself that I'm slowly boiling over with anger & fear. No one is designed for kind of stress 24/7. It starts to warp you.

I'm going to unplug from the news, make some art, and breath a little.

I'm obsessively trying to find the hope, the cracks in their armor, and what I can do to point out both.

Some in the media are realizing that Trump won't spare them. Even some of the grifters are spooked. Good.

They funded conservatives to promote fear to get them elected to get tax cuts to get richer. On repeat. For decades.
