Today, on the Transgender Day of Remembrance, we memorialize transgender people that lost their lives to anti-trans violence this year. In Santa Barbara as around the world we will say their names and hold them in our hearts as we continue to work towards a world without prejudice and bigotry.

I understand most people don’t want to leave X because that’s where most other people still are.

That just means that it’s a collective action problem; it can be overcome with organizing that brings people together towards non-cooperation.

If we can’t even get off X, how can we stop fascism?
